Our Policy
#1 For safety reasons, we never put pets together that do not live together.
#2 We give bedding to non-chewing pets visiting with us. Please tell us if you have a pet that loves to chew so we
can take preventive measures for the safety of your pet. Damage caused by a pet is the owner’s responsibility.
#3 It’s ok with us if you bring a blanket, bed, toy or something that smells of home for your pet provided it is washable.
Please keep in mind that we can’t guarantee its condition or return.
#4 We require that all pets be current
on all vaccinations and are bug free.
Required
Vaccines for Dogs:
Rabies and Distemper Combo
Vaccines must be up to date.
We also recommend you Vaccinate
for Bordetella (aka-Kennel Cough) and the new Canine Influenza Vaccine (H3N8) to keep your pet fully protected.
Please note - Bordetella (aka - Kennel Cough) needs to be given two
weeks ahead for it to be fully effective and the new Canine Influenza Vaccine (H3N8) is administered in two
doses given 2 to 4 weeks apart.
For safety reasons
we will not accept dogs for boarding within the first two weeks of the Bordetella vaccine.
We also recommend “Frontline” for Dogs
You can read more about the new Canine Influenza Vaccine (H3N8) at www.doginfluenxa.com
Required Vaccines for Cats:
Rabies
and Feline Distemper Combo Vaccine must be up to date.
Please
note - recommend the Feline Leukemia Vaccine for all cats but require it for any cats that will be staying in one
of our in/out Villas
We recommend “Advantage”
for Cats.
#5 We will give medications as directed by your veterinarian for an extra fee but we will not accept
pets having an illness that would put the other pets at risk.
#6 We do not take pets to the veterinarian unless
we feel the pet’s life is in danger, or the owner schedules it in advance.
#7 In case of an emergency, we
will make every effort to contact the owner and/or emergency contact Person of your choice.
#8 We do not automatically
groom pets that are staying with us. If grooming is desired, please make arrangements in advance for this service.
#9 We release pets to owners only, when the bill is paid in full by cash or check.
#10 There is a $50
fee for returned checks.
#11 Skunked pets are not allowed inside our facility so we will not offend the noses of
others.
#12 We allow pets to stay outside if desired during the day, weather permitting or will walk pets in &
out as desired. We make every effort to make the pets comfortable during their visit. The County does require that all Pets
must come in at night.
Our Terms
Boarding Pets are charged
by the day. We do not charge for the last day when the pet is picked up before noon on weekdays or is scheduled for grooming
on their departure date.
We are able to keep our prices lower
because We DO NOT accept Credit or Debit Cards
Our
reputation is important to us and we make every effort to be honest and fair with all of our clients. Because of the few bad
apples, we had to start a new requirement on long-term boarding. When a pet will be with us longer than three weeks, we now
require a deposit for the first 2 weeks of boarding and bi-monthly payments thereafter. Monthly rates and payments are also
available.
Raising Rates and Discounts
In the last couple of
years we had to raise our rates due to our escalating cost and maintenance but our boarding rates are still below normal.
We understand that some people travel a longer distance to use our facility and we want to reward them with the best
for less.
We are a small family run business and are not owned by a corporation or run by stockholders. Lower
prices are made possible in part because we work where we live and pass these savings on to our clients.
Each year
we send Christmas cards to our clients with a gift discounts of 10% off.
Long-term boarding discounts are based
on availability, length of visit and the time of year.
